This is an extension to FILE, not an extension to PAY – payment is still due April 15, 2025.

You must file in California by March 15, 2025.

Extension to File S Corporation & Partnership Taxes in California for 2024
You must send payment for taxes in California for the fiscal year 2024 by March 15, 2025.
The Extension Deadline is September 15, 2025, to file your California S-Corporation income tax return.
The Extension Deadline is October 15, 2025, to file your California partnership income tax return.
California automatically grants a 6-month extension on filing S-Corporation income tax returns and automatically grants a 7-month extension on filing Partnership income tax returns. This means you do not need to file for an extension in California.
This is an extension to FILE, not an extension to PAY – payment is still due March 15, 2025.

Estates Tax Deadline for California 2024
California Estate Tax filings are due by April 15, 2025.
Farmer and Fisherman Taxes for California 2024
If you are a farmer or fisherman and at least two-thirds of your 2023 and 2024 gross income is from farming or fishing, you may do either of the following:
- Pay all of your estimated tax by January 15, 2025.
- File your tax return for 2024 on or before March 1, 2025, and pay the total tax due. In this case, you need not make estimated tax payments for 2024.
